Is the Romney camp actually serious about trying to win the South?

12/9/2007

This move sure doesn't make it appear that way. In an area that Romney's already going to have a whole lot of trouble gaining traction from the largely Christian population due to his Mormonism, it appears to me to be a pretty boneheaded move to hire as the campaign's state director a kid whose campaign experience has come as a member of two teams -- Ralph Reed for Lt Gov and Jim Whitehead for GA-10 -- which were embarrassingly blown away in elections in which they were heavy favorites.

Bringing on "expertise" like that will likely just help Romney go down in even bigger flames in Georgia. What a dumb move.
