Letter from Baghdad: A 1-4 CAV update

I received this email from LTC James Crider, commander of the 1-4 CAV in Baghdad (based out of FOB Falcon), a unit with which I was embedded in April/May and will be again this September (see here for more on that, including how you can provide much-needed help).
